Semi-Final #1: Sunday, July 23rd, 6pm St. John’s FC vs United PDX Reserves
St. John’s FC is returning as the defending Champion from the 2022 Oregon Open Cup, looking to become the first repeat Champion in the history of the tournament. They finished 1st in the most recent season of the Northwest Division UPSL (United Premier Soccer League).
United PDX Reserves consists of current college players, incoming freshmen to college, and HS seniors who are college recruits. They most recently competed in the ECNL (Elite Club National League)
Semi-Final #2: Sunday, July 23rd, 8pm United PDX u23’s vs Nayarit United
United PDX competes in the Northwest Division of USL2 (United Soccer Leagues) and was the highest finishing Oregon team in their division. Roster is loaded with division 1 talent, both local and national.
Nayarit United comes in as a bit of a wild card team. They competed in the 2019 edition of the Oregon Open Cup (exited in 1st round) and they play primarily in the hispanic leagues around the Portland area. Team manager/ captain Timur Zhividze has competed in past Oregon Open Cups (with OVF Alliance) and is well established in the local soccer scene.
